As an avid sports and live events go-er, I’ve spent way too much time researching seating charts and sun angles before games. Most information is outdated or hard to read.
Where’s the Shade helps fans find the best places to sit at stadiums when shade matters. Instead of guessing or relying on older seating charts, we focus on showing which sides and sections tend to offer the most relief from the sun during day and afternoon events.
Shade conditions vary by stadium design, seating level, and time of year. Our guides prioritize practical seat-selection advice (where shade is most likely) rather than exact sun timing that can change from game to game.
How The Information Works
Shade guidance on this site is based on stadium orientation, seating structure, overhangs, and long-term fan experience. Rather than promising guaranteed shade, we highlight the seating areas that typically provide the best coverage so fans can make more comfortable choices.
Why This Site Exists
Sitting in direct sun for hours can quickly take the fun out of a game. Where’s the Shade was created to make it easier to enjoy live sports without overheating, whether it’s a baseball game or outdoor concert.
What does “VERIFIED” Mean
For some stadium guides, you may see a VERIFIED Badge by the Shade Summary that looks like this:

Accuracy is always the top priority. While we use fan data and both shade and field reports for every stadium, we also offer a “verified” status for venues that work with us.
When you see the VERIFIED seal, it means we have moved beyond independent mapping and collaborated directly with the stadium’s front office or operations team. With this badge, you can be sure the information on the guide is accurate and venue approved!
