The stadium is situated North-to-South. As the sun tracks from East to West across the sky, the East sideline faces the glare for the entire afternoon, while the West sideline benefits from the stadium’s roof and height, which block the low-angled sun as it sets in the evening.

Fans behind the goal on the south side have no benefit of cover, so those seats are largely sun-soaked the entire afternoon

The West Side is Best for Shade

To ensure a comfortable experience, the west side of the stadium is the best tactical choice for fans.

• Sections 123 – 133: These sections are shaded in both the afternoon and evening. Stick to the upper rows as it is largely protected from the overhanging roof.

• Midfield Advantage: Fans recommend the west side near midfield, sections 128 – 131 in particular.

Late Afternoon and Evening

During afternoon games, the shade begins at the very back of the West sideline and moves toward the pitch. By the time a 7:30 PM evening match kicks off, the entire west side is comfortably cool, while the east side may still be dealing with the final “golden hour” glare.

For those with children, the west side is strongly preferred to avoid the physical heat of the sun during those peak summer kickoff times.
